The short version. Pomme has no account and no server. What you log about your baby stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and is shared only with people you invite. The developer can't see it. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Who is responsible

Pomme is an iPhone app published by Svante Dahlberg, an independent developer. You can reach the developer atpommesupport@svantedahlberg.com.

What Pomme stores, and where

Your baby's name and birthday, the meals you log, reactions and notes, your own custom foods and your answers during setup are stored on your iPhone, inside the app.

If you're signed in to iCloud, Pomme also keeps a copy in your own iCloud account, so your data syncs between your devices and comes back if you reinstall. This uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit): the data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account, and the developer has no access to it. If you're not signed in to iCloud, everything stays on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes the copy on your iPhone; the copy in iCloud stays until you delete it in your iCloud settings.

A home screen widget shows a summary of the same data. It is stored on your iPhone for the widget to read.

The food guide itself is built into the app, so browsing it makes no network request.

What Pomme never collects

  • No account, sign-up or password.
  • No analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs.
  • No tracking across apps or websites, and no data sold or shared.

Sharing with family

You can invite a partner, grandparent or other caregiver to log meals with you. Invitations go through Apple's iCloud sharing, and only the people you invite can join. Everyone in a shared family can see and change its children, meals, reactions, notes and custom foods. You can stop sharing, or remove someone, at any time from the app; anyone you invited can also leave on their own. The developer is never part of a shared family and can't see it.

Reminders

Allergen keep-up reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. They are optional and you can turn them off in the app or in Settings.

Purchases

Pomme is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and the app only learns whether you have an active purchase. The developer never sees your payment details.

Pediatrician reports

The PDF report is created on your iPhone. It only leaves your device if you choose to share it, for example by email or AirDrop.

Children

Pomme is used by parents and caregivers. It holds information about a child only because a parent entered it, and that information stays on the parent's devices, in their iCloud and with the people they choose to share it with.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions are welcome atpommesupport@svantedahlberg.com.
